A great effort by Alex Bialakis spurred the Pompano Beach Clippers (25-8) to a 4-0 win over the Delray Beach Lightning (20-17) on Sunday at Miller Park.

Bialakis held the Delray Beach Lightning scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on six hits while striking out eight.

J.P. Sorma had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the fourth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Chuck Arcuri was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Pompano Beach Clippers batters and allowing two runs.

Justin Barney (0-1) took the loss for the Delray Beach Lightning. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.

The Pompano Beach Clippers' Brandon Joyce, Sorma and Lance Myers combined for six hits and four RBIs.
