The Pompano Beach Clippers need walk-off sacrifice fly to beat the South Florida Huskies, 4-3

A walk-off sacrifice fly from Kyle Simon brought home the winning run for the Pompano Beach Clippers (23-8) in a 4-3 victory over the South Florida Huskies (15-19) in 11 innings at Miller Park on Saturday.

Simon was hot from the plate for the Pompano Beach Clippers. Simon went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Dylan Jones had two extra-base hits for the Pompano Beach Clippers. He doubled in the second inning and tripled in the eleventh inning.

Ken Tabor handled the South Florida Huskies' lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. Tabor allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks over seven innings.

Renny Tolentino got the win, running his season record to 2-0. Tolentino struck out one, walked three and gave up one hit.

Mike Borst couldn't get it done on the mound for the South Florida Huskies, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.

The Pompano Beach Clippers were sparked by Brandon Joyce and Jones, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.
