The Lima Locos (3-0) beat the Hamilton Joes (3-2) 10-0 on Saturday thanks to a five-run eighth inning.

The Lima Locos scored in the eighth on a single by Jeremy Johnson, a groundout by Colin Stolly, , a double by Daino Deas II, and an RBI single by David Chabut.

Deas II racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Lima Locos.

Austin Cox brought the heat against the Hamilton Joes during his outing. Cox held the Hamilton Joes hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.

Brad Croy improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Lima Locos. Croy struck out four, walked two and gave up four hits.

Darien Smith ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
