The Pompano Beach Clippers (22-8) and the Boca Raton Blazers (15-16) both had scoring chances on Thursday, but it was the Pompano Beach Clippers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-5 win at Lynn University.

The Boca Raton Blazers were led by Yoni Rodriguez's hitting. Rodriguez went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the fifth inning.

Hunter Whitman improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Pompano Beach Clippers. He allowed two runs over four innings. Whitman struck out five, walked one and gave up five hits.

Jordan Magers (0-2) took the loss for the Boca Raton Blazers. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
