The Delray Beach Lightning (16-11) beat the West Palm Beach Sharks (7-11) 5-1 in seven innings on Thursday behind Christian Garabedian, who went 1-2.

Despite the loss, the West Palm Beach Sharks' Jonathan Herndon dominated the Delray Beach Lightning's batters, giving up zero runs and striking out seven.

Travis Koznak led the West Palm Beach Sharks' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the third and fifth innings.

Chris Jordan improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Delray Beach Lightning. He allowed one run over four innings. Jordan struck out one, walked three and gave up four hits.

Justin Hernandez (0-1) took the loss for the West Palm Beach Sharks. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
