The Sacramento Heat (12-21) and the Top Speed Baseball (32-4) both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was the Sacramento Heat that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-2 win at University of Pacific.

Miles Haddad put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Sacramento Heat. He doubled in the first inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Nick Moisant had an impressive outing against the Sacramento Heat's lineup. The Sacramento Heat managed just two hits off of Moisant, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out four during his 4 2/3 innings of work.

Karsten Lee improved to 1-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Sacramento Heat. He allowed two runs over six innings. Lee struck out three, walked three and gave up 13 hits.

Ryan Schalch (0-1) took the loss for the Top Speed Baseball. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
