Patrick Leatherman hopes every outing could go as well as Wednesday, as Leatherman pitched a no-hitter to carry the Irish Hills Leprechauns (14-14) to a 6-0 victory over the Licking County Settlers at Sienna Heights University in seven innings.
The biggest inning for the Irish Hills Leprechauns was the sixth. The Irish Hills Leprechauns' bats caught fire leading to four runs. The Irish Hills Leprechauns scored in the sixth on an RBI triple by Carsten Dembeck, an RBI single by Robert Iacobelli, and a two-run double by Ty Suntken.
Suntken racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Irish Hills Leprechauns.
Leatherman recorded his third win of the year for the Irish Hills Leprechauns. Leatherman struck out seven, walked two and gave up no hits.
Phillip Piesko ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed one run.
