Jason Sullivan collected three hits, helping the Lima Locos (19-7) to a 7-6 victory over the Lake Erie Monarchs (9-16) on Saturday at Simmons Field.
He singled in the second, fourth, and fifth innings.The Lake Erie Monarchs couldn't get anything going so long as David Nicholas Spear was on the hill. Nicholas Spear held the Lake Erie Monarchs hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Ryan Fournier did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Lake Erie Monarchs, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Conner Davis recorded his first win of the year for the Lima Locos. Davis struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.
Chris Modrzynski ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in seven innings, walked one and struck out three.
