The South Bay Storm (14-8) beat the Nevada Big Horns (7-12) 6-4 in seven innings on Friday at North Tahoe Park behind Vinny Margiotta, who had two extra base hits.

He doubled in the first and fourth innings and singled in the sixth inning.

Casey Trosclair got on base two times in the game for the Nevada Big Horns. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fifth inning.

Ray Fuentes got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out six, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Zachary Muenster couldn't get it done on the bump for the Nevada Big Horns, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.

The South Bay Storm were sparked by Margiotta and Connor Fabing, who teamed up for eight hits and four RBIs.
