Andrew Heck went 2-4, helping the Washington Wild Things (18-15) to a 3-2 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums (10-23) on Tuesday at Wuerful Park.

The Traverse City Beach Bums' lineup had no answer for Devon Davis. Davis held the Traverse City Beach Bums hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Will Kengor did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Traverse City Beach Bums, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Luke Wilkins improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Washington Wild Things. He allowed two runs over six innings. Wilkins struck out three, walked four and gave up four hits.

Kramer Champlin couldn't get it done on the mound for the Traverse City Beach Bums, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
