Josh Smith went 1-2 as the Danville Dans (12-8) took home a 2-1 victory over the Champion City Kings (7-14) in seven innings at Davidson Stadium on Sunday.

Bryan Ayers struck out seven hitters en route to the the Danville Dans win. Ayers allowed one earned run on four hits and no walks over seven innings.

Andrew McDonald allowed two earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings of work.

McDonald was charged with his second loss of the year.
