The Top Speed Baseball get key pinch-hit in 7-4 victory over the Nevada Big Horns

Bret Bowyer was cold coming off the bench, but Bowyer warmed up quickly as Bowyer stroked a key pinch-hit single in the five to lead the Top Speed Baseball (10-0) to a 7-4 win over the Nevada Big Horns (4-6) on Monday at Golden Eagle Park.

With the Top Speed Baseball trailing by two, Bowyer came to the plate and singled, plating Patrick ODonnell.

The Nevada Big Horns jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Nevada Big Horns were up until the sixth inning, but the Top Speed Baseball had other plans for the final outcome, taking the lead back on a three-run home run by Robert Berning.

ODonnell had two extra-base hits for the Top Speed Baseball. He homered in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Bowyer improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Top Speed Baseball. Bowyer struck out two, walked one and gave up two hits.

Chris Petrosie was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.

The Top Speed Baseball were sparked by Berning and ODonnell, who teamed up for four hits and six RBIs.
