Three first-inning runs helped the Regina Red Sox (6-3) to a 3-1 win over the Moose Jaw Miller Express (3-9) at Currie Field on Tuesday.

The Regina Red Sox scored in the first on a groundout by Jonathan Nunnally and a two-run single by Aden Campbell.

The Regina Red Sox were led by Justin Erlandson's hitting. Erlandson went 2-3 and scored one run. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

The Moose Jaw Miller Express had no answer for Andrew Mirasty, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Moose Jaw Miller Express managed just three hits off of Mirasty, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out one during his six innings of work.

Kobe Portillo (0-1) took the loss for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
