Both the Lafayette Aviators (4-2) and the DuPage Drones (2-3) put runners aboard on Wednesday, but it was the Lafayette Aviators that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-5 win at Lafayette, Loeb Stadium.
Bryce Evans racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Lafayette Aviators. He doubled in the second innings and singled in the first and sixth innings.
Braden Mosley did his best to jumpstart the offense for the DuPage Drones, reaching base three times. He singled in the seventh inning and doubled in the ninth inning.
Tasker Strobel improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Lafayette Aviators. He allowed three runs over five innings. Strobel struck out five, walked two and gave up six hits.
Cage Cascone couldn't get it done on the rubber for the DuPage Drones, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out three.
