Early lead gives the Lethbridge Bulls easy victory over the Fort McMurray Giants, 19-6

The Lethbridge Bulls (16-11) shut the door early on the Fort McMurray Giants (10-17), capturing a 19-6 victory on Sunday at Spitz Stadium.

The game was decided quickly as the Lethbridge Bulls exerted their will early with 13 runs in the first three innings.

A solo home run by Mike Moffatt in the first inning and a solo home run by Carter Witbeck, , a double by Ryan Pouwells, a double by Evan Comeau, a groundout by Moffatt, and a single by Mitch McGeein during the second inning helped the Lethbridge Bulls put some runs on the board early.

Pouwells racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Lethbridge Bulls.

Chase Hager racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Fort McMurray Giants. He tripled in the fourth inning.

Thomas Garland improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Lethbridge Bulls. He allowed one run over three innings. Garland struck out three, walked one and gave up three hits.

Kyle Blakeman was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.

The Lethbridge Bulls easily handled the Fort McMurray Giants pitching as seven hitters combined for 22 hits, 15 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
