The Oneonta Outlaws (23-18) beat the Saugerties Stallions (13-27) 4-0 on Saturday at Damaschke Field behind Jimmy Hand, who went 1-4 and hit a home run.
He homered in the sixth inning.Josh Covey put together a nice outing. Covey held the Saugerties Stallions hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five.
Collin Duffley brought the heat against the Oneonta Outlaws during his outing. Duffley held the Oneonta Outlaws hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Tyler Brown improved to 3-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Oneonta Outlaws. Brown struck out three, walked five and gave up two hits.
Matthew Jones was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
