The Elmira Pioneers (20-10) rolled over the Newark Pilots (20-12) 10-4 on Wednesday at Dunn Field after a six-run rally in the sixth inning.

The Elmira Pioneers scored in the sixth on a single by Tyler Plantier, a fielder's choice, a fielder's choice, a single by Isaiah Lewis, a hit by pitch, a fielder's choice, and an RBI single by Rob Perteet.

Plantier racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Elmira Pioneers.

Andrew Sipowicz's seven strikeouts helped the Elmira Pioneers to the victory. Sipowicz allowed two earned runs, four hits and three walks over six innings.

Chris Whelan had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fourth and ninth innings.

Solomon Bates couldn't get it done on the hill for the Newark Pilots, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
