The Adirondack Trail Blazers make the most of 7 hits in 6-5 victory over the Amsterdam Mohawks

The Adirondack Trail Blazers (7-21) and the Amsterdam Mohawks (17-9) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Adirondack Trail Blazers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-5 win at Shuttleworth Park.

Kenny Collins was hot from the plate for the Adirondack Trail Blazers. Collins went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the ninth inning.

Chris LaVorgna had a hot bat for the Amsterdam Mohawks. LaVorgna went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first, fifth, and eighth innings.

Don McWreath got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Tim Naughton ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked four, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
