The Adirondack Trail Blazers get key pinch-hit in 7-5 victory over the Geneva Red Wings

Donald Goodson was cold coming off the bench, but Goodson warmed up quickly as Goodson stroked a key pinch-hit single in the seven to lead the Adirondack Trail Blazers (7-21) to a 7-5 win over the Geneva Red Wings (7-20) on Thursday at Robert Smith Sports Complex .

With the score tied at five, Goodson came to the plate and singled.

Kenny Collins got on base three times in the game for the Adirondack Trail Blazers. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the third and fifth innings.

Goodson had an impressive outing against the Geneva Red Wings' lineup. The Geneva Red Wings managed just one hit off of Goodson, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Matthew Eastman had two extra-base hits for the Geneva Red Wings. He doubled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Drake Sykes was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
