The Palm Beach Xtreme (5-8) beat the West Boca Snappers (7-7) 5-2 in seven innings on Wednesday at Spanish River High School behind Evan Schaffner, who went 0-0.

Alex Urrutia brought the heat against the West Boca Snappers during his outing. Urrutia held the West Boca Snappers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Corey Martinez was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Palm Beach Xtreme batters and allowing one run.

Carlos Leon recorded his first win of the year for the Palm Beach Xtreme. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Robert Mauti was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
