The Roswell Invaders (43-23) jumped out to an early lead on the White Sands Pupfish (28-39) and captured a 13-1 victory on Tuesday at Joe Bauman Park.

With five runs in the first three innings, the Roswell Invaders left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

Graylin Derke paced the White Sands Pupfish at the plate. Derke went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Lucas McDonough ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked six and struck out two.
