Stephen Swagerty hopes every outing could go as well as Sunday, as Swagerty threw a shutout to carry the Great Bend Boom (16-26) to a 5-0 victory over the Topeka Train Robbers (20-24) at Al Burns Field in seven innings.

Swagerty held the Topeka Train Robbers scoreless during his seven innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out five.

Matt Rembielak went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Great Bend Boom. He singled in the first, fourth, and fifth innings.

Mike Hahn brought the heat against the Great Bend Boom during his outing. The Great Bend Boom managed just two hits off of Hahn, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.

Nick Hernandez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
