Aldrich leads the Alpine Cowboys to 14-6 win over the Santa Fe Fuego

A superb effort by Daniel Aldrich hoisted the Alpine Cowboys (15-13) to a 14-6 win in eight innings over the Santa Fe Fuego (6-26) on Friday at Fort Marcy Park.

Aldrich blasted three home runs for the Alpine Cowboys. Aldrich went 4-5 in the game with four RBIs and three runs scored. Aldrich homered in the second, fourth, and seventh innings.

Matt Haskins rocked the Alpine Cowboys with two home runs. Haskins went 3-4 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Haskins homered in the first and third innings.

The Alpine Cowboys blew out the Santa Fe Fuego thanks to 14 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Alpine Cowboys scored five runs in the first on the Alpine Cowboys scored in the first on an RBI single by Seth McLemore, a three-run home run by Jon Denney, and an RBI single by Kevin Klaess.

Klaess got his second win for the Alpine Cowboys despite allowing six runs over seven innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered nine hits.

Eric Gleese couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Santa Fe Fuego, taking a loss. He allowed 10 runs in four innings, walked four and struck out five.
