Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Monday as the Alpine Cowboys (12-12) outscored the Tucson Saguaros (22-6) 17-14.

The Alpine Cowboys scored 11 runs in the first inning to build an early lead. The Alpine Cowboys scored in the first on a solo home run by Eric Ferguson, an RBI double by Phildrick Llewellyn, a two-run single by JJ Graham, an RBI double by Tim Henry, an RBI single by Joey Webb, a two-run double by Ariel Adut, a two-run double by Adut, and a three-run home run by Seth McLemore.
Ferguson led the Alpine Cowboys' offensive threat, as he got on base five times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI.
Davon Poole racked up five RBIs on four hits for the Tucson Saguaros. He singled in the first, fifth, and sixth innings and homered in the ninth inning.
Webb got his fourth win for the Alpine Cowboys despite allowing seven runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered 10 hits.
Brian Luebcke ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 11 runs in two-thirds of an inning, walked two and struck out none.
The Alpine Cowboys hammered the Tucson Saguaros pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 17 hits, 13 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
