Jim Smith clubbed two home runs to carry the Roswell Invaders (3-0) to a 14-2 win over the Topeka Train Robbers (0-3) at Jerry Robertson Field.

Smith racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Roswell Invaders. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the sixth and seventh innings.

The Roswell Invaders blew out the Topeka Train Robbers thanks to 17 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Roswell Invaders scored five runs in the sixth on the Roswell Invaders scored in the sixth on an RBI home run by Smith, a three-run home run by Smith, and an RBI single by Rene Morada.

Ryan Ward picked up the win for the Roswell Invaders. Ward pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out three.

Chris Scura racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Topeka Train Robbers. He homered in the sixth inning.

Tim Vranau couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Topeka Train Robbers, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
