The Atwater Aviators refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the South County Vipers, recording a 10-1 victory on Friday at Fireman's Memorial Ballpark.

Five runs in the first three innings allowed the Atwater Aviators (13-13) to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Jacob DePillo and a single by DePillo in the first inning and a groundout by Chris Ackerman and a two-run home run by Victor Tiscareno during the second inning fueled the Atwater Aviators' offense early.

Even in defeat, Dodero played well for the South County Vipers.

The South County Vipers' lineup had no answer for Humphrey. The South County Vipers managed just one hit off of the the Atwater Aviators' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Murphy ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
