Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Thursday as the Normal CornBelters (23-25) outscored the Gateway Grizzlies (25-25) 13-8.

The teams totaled 28 hits in the game.

Craig LePre racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Normal CornBelters. He homered in the fourth inning, doubled in the sixth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Michael Schweiss struck out seven hitters en route to the the Normal CornBelters win. Schweiss allowed three earned runs on seven hits and one walk over seven innings.

Jason Scholl racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Gateway Grizzlies. He homered in the seventh inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Will Landsheft couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Gateway Grizzlies, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked one and struck out four.
