Brendan Costantino racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Lake Erie Crushers. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
Steve Hagen picked up the win for the Lake Erie Crushers. Hagen pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and five walks while striking out five.
A bright spot for the Windy City ThunderBolts in the defeat was Clay Chapman, who allowed only three runs while striking out six.
Chapman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year.
