The Southern Illinois Miners (41-17) and the Washington Wild Things (29-28) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the Southern Illinois Miners capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 6-5 win at Rent One Park, Marion, IL.

Shane Kennedy paced the Southern Illinois Miners at the plate. Kennedy went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Logan Uxa racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Washington Wild Things. He homered in the seventh inning.

Brooks Trujillo got the win, running his season record to 1-3. He allowed four runs over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Sam Agnew-Wieland couldn't get it done on the bump for the Washington Wild Things, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked five and struck out three.
