The Southern Illinois Miners (37-17) and the Washington Wild Things (27-25) each put runners in scoring position on Sunday, but the Southern Illinois Miners capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out an 11-7 win at CONSOL Energy Park.

Craig Massey racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Southern Illinois Miners. He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and sixth innings.

David Popkins racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Washington Wild Things. He doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the sixth inning, and homered in the ninth inning.

Jarett Miller improved to 4-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Southern Illinois Miners. He allowed four runs over 6 2/3 innings. Miller struck out three, walked two and gave up nine hits.

Chase Cunningham was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked three and struck out three.
