Jose Barraza collected three hits as the Lake Erie Crushers (29-32) took home a 2-1 victory over the River City Rascals (29-32) in seven innings at CarShield Field on Wednesday.
He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the sixth inning.Shane Street pitched lights out for the River City Rascals. The Lake Erie Crushers managed just one hit off of Street, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.
Stetson Nelson got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He allowed one run over five innings. Nelson struck out two, walked one and gave up six hits.
Joe Pavlovich was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
