An ace performance by Todd Kibby spurred the Lake Erie Crushers (18-23) to a 1-0 win in 11 innings over the Evansville Otters (25-19) on Friday at All Pro Freight Stadium.
Kibby held the Evansville Otters scoreless for nine innings. Kibby allowed four hits, one walk and struck out six.
Hunter Ackerman kept the Lake Erie Crushers off the board during his nine innings of work. Ackerman struck out seven and allowed one walk and three hits.
A walk-off double by Eric Grabe gave the Lake Erie Crushers the win.
Grabe was solid at the plate for the Lake Erie Crushers. Grabe went 1-4 and drove in one. He doubled in the eleventh inning.
Chandler Jagodzinski got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Tyler Thompson (3-2) took the loss for the Evansville Otters. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
