The Chemeketa (6-5) didn't put up much of a fight on Wednesday, as the Linn-Benton (8-4) cruised to a blowout 7-1 win at Chemeketa Baseball Stadium.

The Linn-Benton scored two runs in the eighth on the Linn-Benton scored in the eighth on an RBI single by Jack Bauer and a groundout by Trevin Stephens.

Colton Cosner got on base four times in the game for the Linn-Benton. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

David Wallum brought the heat against the Chemeketa during his outing. Wallum held the Chemeketa hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out six.

Blake Wrotenbery pitched lights out for the Chemeketa. Wrotenbery held the Linn-Benton hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Jacob Asa ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
