Early lead gives the Top Speed Baseball easy victory over the South Bay Storm, 11-2

The Top Speed Baseball (32-2) jumped out to an early lead on the South Bay Storm (18-15) and captured an 11-2 victory on Monday at Drake High.

With five runs in the first three innings, the Top Speed Baseball left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Matthew Tarantino and a home run by Ryan Schalch during the first inning supplied the early offense for the Top Speed Baseball.

Schalch racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Top Speed Baseball.

Corey Sessions picked up the win for the Top Speed Baseball. Sessions pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, seven hits and no walks while striking out three.

Jeramy Albert was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 11 runs in six innings, walked six and struck out three.
