The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (25-17) and the Brewster Whitecaps (16-25) each put runners in scoring position on Monday, but the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 5-4 win at Stony Brook.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox were led by JJ Muno's hitting. Muno went 3-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the first, third, and ninth innings.

Kekai Rios did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Brewster Whitecaps, reaching base three times. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

Pat Vanderslice got the win, running his season record to 2-4. He allowed one run over 2 2/3 innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Landon Hughes couldn't get it done on the mound for the Brewster Whitecaps, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
