Rio Gomez kept the Chatham Anglers (15-25) off the board during his six innings of work and the Cotuit Kettleers (14-26) beat the Chatham Anglers, 1-0.
Gomez struck out six and allowed one walk and three hits.
Quinn Brodey was solid at the plate for the Cotuit Kettleers. Brodey went 3-4. He singled in the first and third innings and tripled in the seventh inning.
The Cotuit Kettleers had no answer for Garrett Whitlock, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Cotuit Kettleers managed just one hit off of Whitlock, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 2 1/3 innings of work.
Parker Rigler (0-4) took the loss for the Chatham Anglers. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed one run.
