Deon Stafford Jr clubbed two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (23-16) to a win on Friday, as the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox fell to the Brewster Whitecaps (16-21) 13-3 at Red Wilson Field.
The Brewster Whitecaps turned the win into a rout with six runs in the seventh. The Brewster Whitecaps scored in the seventh on an RBI single by Ryan Noda, a single by Ryan Gridley, a hit by pitch, a three-run error, a double by Nicholas Dunn, and a groundout by Brent Rooker.
Dunn racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Brewster Whitecaps.
Tyler Zuber improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Brewster Whitecaps. He allowed one run over 2 1/3 innings. Zuber struck out none, walked one and gave up one hit.
Nathan Kuchta was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in zero innings, walked none and struck out none.
