Hunter Martin hopes every outing could go as well as Wednesday, as Martin threw eight scoreless innings to carry the Brewster Whitecaps (15-21) to a 3-0 victory over the Bourne Braves (17-19) at Doran Park.

Brent Rooker racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Brewster Whitecaps. He homered in the sixth inning.

Sean Leland had an impressive outing against the Brewster Whitecaps' lineup. Leland held the Brewster Whitecaps hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Doug Norman was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed one run.
