Gunnar Troutwine was cold coming off the bench, but Troutwine warmed up quickly as Troutwine stroked a key pinch-hit single in the nine to lead the Chatham Anglers (14-22) to a 5-4 win over the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (23-14) on Tuesday at Red Wilson Field.

With the Chatham Anglers trailing by four, Troutwine came to the plate and singled, plating Jake Palomaki and DJ Artis.

Stuart Fairchild racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Chatham Anglers. He homered in the ninth inning.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox's lineup had no answer for Alexander Person. Person held the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Caleb Gilbert improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Chatham Anglers. He allowed one run over one inning. Gilbert struck out three, walked none and gave up two hits.

Calvin Faucher (3-1) took the loss for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
