The Brewster Whitecaps (15-21) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 4-3 to the Wareham Gatemen (21-14) on Tuesday.

The Wareham Gatemen took the lead in the tenth inning on a sacrifice fly by Joey Bart.

Jake Matthys improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Wareham Gatemen. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Landon Hughes was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
