The Harwich Mariners (21-12) beat the Falmouth Commodores (22-13) 9-2 on Friday thanks to a five-run seventh inning.

The Harwich Mariners scored in the seventh on a single by Tommy DeJuneas, a two-run single by Cal Raleigh, and a two-run home run by Austin Filiere.

The Harwich Mariners were led by a flawless day at the dish by Pavin Smith, who went 4-4 against the Falmouth Commodores' pitching. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the second, fourth, seventh, and eighth innings.

Nick Brown pitched lights out for the Harwich Mariners. Brown held the Falmouth Commodores hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Tyler Lawrence racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Falmouth Commodores. He homered in the third inning.

Theodore Rodliff got the win, running his season record to 4-1. Rodliff struck out one, walked two and gave up four hits.

Jake Bird (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
