Boxscore | Game Recap | Boxscore Text Version | Gamelive Version

The Harwich Mariners offense too much for the Bourne Braves in 13-5 rout

Story by Narrative Science.

The Harwich Mariners (20-12) shut the door early on the Bourne Braves (14-18), capturing a 13-5 victory on Thursday at Whitehouse Field.

With 11 runs in the first three innings, the Harwich Mariners left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A two-run home run by Pavin Smith during the first inning and a hit by pitch, an RBI single by Ernie Clement, and an RBI single by Clement in the second inning fueled the Harwich Mariners' offense early.

Smith had two extra-base hits for the Harwich Mariners.

The Bourne Braves couldn't get anything going so long as Brad Bass was on the hill. The Bourne Braves managed just two hits off of Bass, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Jon Escobar was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Harwich Mariners batters and allowing zero runs.

AJ Moore was charged with his sixth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked one and struck out two.
