The Wareham Gatemen (16-14) beat the Bourne Braves (14-17) 3-2 on Wednesday at Doran Park behind Joey Bartosic, who went 2-4.

He singled in the third and eighth innings.

Ryan Wilson baffled the Bourne Braves, striking out five batters. The Wareham Gatemen's pitcher gave up just four hits over five shutout innings.

Doug Norman was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Wareham Gatemen batters and allowing one run.

Nick Sprengel improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Wareham Gatemen. He allowed one run over three innings. Sprengel struck out one, walked none and gave up three hits.

Ronnie Rossomando ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed one run.
