The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (21-12) beat the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (15-18) 5-1 on Wednesday at Red Wilson Field behind Dillon Persinger, who went 1-4 and hit a home run.

Michael Baumann handled the Hyannis Harbor Hawks' lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox's pitcher tossed 4 2/3 innings of shutout ball and allowed only three hits.

Jordan Rodgers went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He singled in the seventh inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Pat Vanderslice improved to 1-4 on the year by picking up the win for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered one hit.

Alex House ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
