The Falmouth Commodores (8-8) and the Cotuit Kettleers (2-14) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Falmouth Commodores that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-2 win at Arnie Allen Diamond.
Jeffrey Passantino pitched lights out for the Falmouth Commodores. The Cotuit Kettleers managed just two hits off of Passantino, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out seven during his six innings of work.
The Falmouth Commodores had no answer for Alec Byrd, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Byrd held the Falmouth Commodores hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.
Colton Hock (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
