A walk-off single from Justin Jones brought home the winning run for the Orleans Firebirds (5-3) in a 1-0 victory over the Harwich Mariners at Eldredge Park on Saturday.

Joe Ryan baffled the Harwich Mariners (6-2), striking out three batters. The Orleans Firebirds' pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only six hits.

Brandon Bielak improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Orleans Firebirds. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Tommy DeJuneas ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
