A walk-off single from Brendan Skidmore brought home the winning run for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (2-5) in a 3-2 victory over the Cotuit Kettleers (1-6) at Red Wilson Field on Friday.

Skidmore racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the first and ninth innings.

Will Gaddis handled the Cotuit Kettleers' lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. Gaddis allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks over seven innings.

Nathan Kuchta got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over two innings. Kuchta struck out two, walked none and gave up one hit.

Ryan Rigby ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run.
