The Pompano Beach Clippers outdone by Taylor and the Delray Beach Lightning, 4-2

Story by Narrative Science.

Kennie Taylor had two extra base hits, helping the Delray Beach Lightning (9-4) to a 4-2 victory over the Pompano Beach Clippers (4-2) on Monday at Pompano Beach Park.

He homered in the first inning and doubled in the third inning.

The Pompano Beach Clippers couldn't get anything going so long as Chuck Arcuri was on the hill. Arcuri held the Pompano Beach Clippers hitless over five innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out seven.

The Delray Beach Lightning's lineup had no answer for Frank Chacon. Chacon gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Nate Mcmaster (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

The Delray Beach Lightning were sparked by Tyler Scwanz and Taylor, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs.
