Dominic Orlando clubbed two home runs to carry the South Bay Storm (13-5) to a 19-7 win over the Nevada Big Horns (6-11) at North Tahoe Park.
Eight runs in the opening three innings allowed the South Bay Storm to easily put away the Nevada Big Horns. A double by Orlando, a single by Connor Fabing, a single by Zane Gelphman, and in the first inning and a double by Dylan Yamasaki, a single by Fabing, a two-run double by Isaiah Todd-Fitzhugh, a single by Gelphman, an RBI single by Reed Oster, and a two-run single by Oster during the second inning helped the South Bay Storm put some runs on the board early.
Scott Petroskey got his second win for the South Bay Storm despite allowing five runs over six innings. Petroskey struck out five, walked two and gave up six hits.
Matt Longland ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked two and struck out two.
