The Neptune Beach Pearl beat the San Francisco Seagulls (21-15) 5-0 on Wednesday at Fairmont Field behind Walker Pennington, who went 2-4.
He doubled in the seventh innings and singled in the ninth inning.Theron Kay had an impressive outing against the San Francisco Seagulls' lineup. Kay held the San Francisco Seagulls hitless over five innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three.
Despite the loss, the San Francisco Seagulls' Nathan Pisciotta dominated the Neptune Beach Pearl's batters, giving up two runs and striking out seven.
Pisciotta (3-1) was the game's losing pitcher.
